Check Out Images from New Dorp Comic Con!

Hello everyone, and I'm back to report on my experience at another Comic Con called New Dorp Comic Con! It was held at New Dorp High School in Staten Island and was hosted on May 16 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. You may have seen several student designed posters that promoted the event which I shared on my Instagram, Threads, Twitter and Bluesky below:

In addition to these posters, I also shared a poster that I made myself, which promoted copies of Sammy Specific #1 that I was selling at the event below!

Of course, I wasn't going to leave the event without a picture of myself at my table like I did for Neurodiversity Comic Con, which I also posted to my social media after the event below!

After the event, the organizer, Arthur Vallario, had this message to share about the convention:

Thank you all so much for making New Dorp Highs Schools 9th Comic Con a huge Success!! We had about 1000 attendees!! The student artists had an amazing day exhibiting their work. They felt honored and proud so many people attended this event and saw their work. The positivity and excitement were overflowing. We had 40 vendors, we had guest artists Evan Dorkin & Jeff Brennan, we had a guest actor from the movie "The Warriors" Apache Ramos! Our three outstanding Cosplay judges returned again!! Mike, Shaine & John!! Volunteering their time running our biggest cosplay contests so far. So many cosplayers with amazing costumes. New Dorp Comic Con really really missed Patrick Hickey this year. He is a huge part of our event every year. Speedy recovery buddy!! I can't believe what we packed into 5 hours! Thank you again! See you next year!

In other news, I added a Portfolio page to my website after weeks of posting (or reposting) artwork to my Instagram! It features a list of selected illustration and visual development work across original and published projects. You can check out artwork for The Bermuda Adventures, an original middle-grade adventure series in development, as well as illustrations from The Heroes to Zero book series for Worldreader without reading the stories on BookSmart!
